The Blue Ox Patriot 3 is a proportional control that uses a microprocessor to monitor the vehicle’s deceleration and apply the trailer brake accordingly. This means that applying your brakes will activate the trailer brakes at an appropriate level. For example, if you are driving down a steep hill and need to slow down quickly, your vehicle will automatically apply more braking force to both vehicles than if you were driving on flat terrain or just making slight speed changes.

Braking action provides the same force as a foot on the brake pedal, in the middle of the pedal, at the same angle for true, responsive braking. Faster Extension of the braking action for quicker, more responsive stops.

Quick Setup:
- Attach the brake claw
- Plug in the power cord and breakaway switch
- Push the setup button.
