We can now offer to re-rubber ALKO European Independant Rubber Suspension (IRS) axles in NZ.

This service is only available for ALKO European IRS Axles with 3 rubbers and an outer tube diameter of a nominal 97mm.

To determine if you need to replace the rubber suspension units on your AL-KO axle, look for these signs:

1. Sagging or Uneven Ride Height: If your vehicle or trailer is leaning to one side or sitting lower than usual, the rubber suspension units may have lost their elasticity and shape.
2. Visible Wear and Tear: Inspect the rubber cords for cracks, splits, or other visible damage. Over time, the rubber can degrade and lose its effectiveness
3. Reduced Suspension Performance: If you notice a rougher ride or decreased shock absorption, it could indicate that the rubber suspension units are no longer functioning properly.
4. Age and Usage: Rubber suspension units can wear out over time, especially if the vehicle is frequently loaded to its maximum capacity. Regularly check the condition of the suspension if your vehicle is older or heavily used. 

Checklist for your AL-KO Axle Re-Rubber.

1. The Caravan must be put over a weighbridge as it would be loaded when being used, and the receipt supplied with the order. * & **
2. The ALKO Axle must have NO structural or Mechanical damage to it
3. The ALKO Axle must be cleaned before it will be accepted for Re-rubbering
4. The Axle is to be removed from the van or trailer and sent for Re-rubbering without the brake cables (Drums are optional)
5. This service is only done for this size Axle in NZ.
6. Other Axle sizes will only be done in Melbourne Australia
7. The costs of this service includes return delivery back to your NZ address
   • You will need to arrange the freight and cost to send the Axle to Ashburton NZ

AL-KO Axle Re-Rubber Warranty Conditions

* Warranty will be void in the event that that the caravan weight is deemed to exceed the axle weight limit provided by the manufacturer due to modifications to the caravan as determined by an independent expert if required.

** In the event that a weighbridge certificate cannot be supplied prior to the axle re-rubber taking place the axle will not be provided with a warranty until such time as a weighbridge certificate is supplied post re-rubber.
