If your work requires frequent coupling and uncoupling of your Trailer or Caravan, the Mawby Hook is an essential item to have on your vehicle. Designed by DIX Engineering, the Mawby Hook is a quick action trailer safety chain coupling which is easy to install and suitable for most towbars.
Safety chains must be strong enough to hold the trailer and prevent the drawbar from touching the ground, should the coupling fail or be disconnected from the ball. The Mawby Hook has been fully tested to AS4177.4 for caravan and light trailer towing components (patent pending).
Using drop forged steel construction, the Mawby Hook is currently rated up to 3.5T.
Mawby Hook Features:
- Expertly designed and engineered for trailer and caravan safety chain connection, rather than a converted recovery or lifting hook.
- All components are supplied to connect directly to a chain up to 13mm, eliminating the need for additional shackles or hammer locks.
- Clasp and spring attach directly to the chain, ensuring it doesn't hang low from the tow vehicle and are designed to withstand mud and debris.
- Each hook rated to 3500kg, all shipments are sample tested to AS4177.4
- Compact design, smaller and fit for purpose.
